Is it perhaps possible that they only look biased toward the left because Fox is pitched so far to the right?

Fox news has gone so far to the right that it is in the stands and no longer on the playing field .
It has lost all credibility as a news organization and has become a cult .

First, you ought to understand that there is information, and then there are opinion/talk classes, and Fox is the latter, for sure different than for some information alerts. CNN is fantastically plenty the comparable - constantly opinion, talk, and prefer Fox various loud voices that shout at us from a table. MSNBC is on the fence; yet has the NBC information at the back of them, so one get added information according to se, yet no longer something a stable as BBC, PBS, NPR. Bias isn't information.

The bias that people may see on CNN and MSNBC comes from some of the issues they choose to focus on. MSNBC went so far as to cancel Phil Donahue when he opposed the Iraq War early on. When you are showing government inaction by the Republican administration, that could be interpreted as bias to the left. Faux on the other hand goes out of their way to slam anyone who takes an opposing view to this administration. As far as saying they have liberals on Faux News, I challenge you to name one. Alan Colmes only qualifies as a punching bag to Hannnity, not a commentator of any substance.

I think you are right for the most part. If all you watch is FOX and you get all your political info and talking points from them then what do you have to compare it to? FOX watchers are defensive because they don't want to appear less than intelligent for watching FOX so their knee jerk reaction is to call every other news station "left biased." Not that they actually KNOW that, they don't watch those stations in any case, but it suffices to defend their own bias.

I tried FOX long ago, and I tried CNN. I didn't care for the right wing bias of FOX, it's underhanded and sneaky for one thing. They have both cons and libs on their shows but it's almost always set up (by the tenor of the questions, news clips, etc.) to make the lib look foolish in the end. That's why the cons love this channel so much. CNN is somewhat left biased I think, but they don't go to those lengths. I started watching MSNBC because I can truly get both sides there. On a show like Hardball, both sides are represented and not set up for failure. They sink or swim on their own words. For instance so many of the cons say Chris Matthews is a liberal. Please. Matthews is as conservative as a Democrat gets, one of his favorite guests is Pat Buchanan and he's always ragging on Hillary Clinton. When someone says that about Matthews it's obvious they've never even bothered to watch the show. I think you've got the right idea about FOX and it's viewers.

First of all I hate the term "Right" for Republicans and "Left" for Democrats................any one who has ever read the Bible knows that God places all good to the right and all bad to the left. I agree that CNN is about as "Bias" to the Democrat side as FOX to the republican side. I do think that MSNBC is the true fair and balanced News!

That's what I've always said! I often like to watch shows like "Face the Nation" and "Meet the Press". Although some conservatives claim that there is a liberal bias not only on CNN and MSNBC, but on CBS, NBC, and ABC, as well, I have never seen evidence of this. Normally, Bob Schieffer and Tim Russert give equal time to both liberal and conservative guests, whereas as, say, on "Fox News Sunday", almost all of the panelists are conservative commentators. Also, CNN has had its fair share of conservatives, such as Pat Buchanan, but the token liberals on Fox tend to be milquetoasts like Alan Colmes, who don't make waves.

CNN puts on the arch-idiot Glen Beck, maybe the biggest idiot since Rush Limbaugh. MSNBC attacked elected President Clinton endlessly and gave cover to bush for ages. MSNBC is owned by GE, a conservative company. The only bias in the media is totally toward the Republicans. They couldn't have won without Big Business deliberately using their media holdings to mislead and con the voters. They all need to have their broadcasting licenses jerked.

MSNBC needs to stop showing re-runs of Catch a Predator they are obsessed with that show, good program but showing the same predators over and over again becomes a bore.

Ironic that the left can see bias to the right on FOX and don't see the blatant bias to the left by MSNBC.
