When I turn on my car, there's a noise that resembles high pitched birds under my hood. I have a Toyota Sequoia. It is fairly loud and continues while driving? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Your belt is slipping. Go to Autozone or someplace like that and get a new belt and see if that fixes your problem.

When my car did that it was my water pump about to go out and it makes that noise because the pulley that spins the pump from the belt is loose and it wobbles as it spins rubbing against the internal parts and makes a high pitched noise. I had a Buick park avenue.

spray some belt dressing on your fan belts. This is available at most parts stores and some larger dept stores. If it continues squeaking check out any idler pulleys after you drive it for awhile to see if they are overheating due to bearing failure. If squeak continues could be a timing belt squeaking and that will take a professional mechanic to fix.

It's either the belt or a pulley. Have it checked out, it's fairly cheap to fix.
