The shell casing is often reloaded and reused. The only practical way to reuse the bullet is to melt it down and recast it. In other words, recycle the material.

No a fired bullet can’t be reuse. A bullet gets misshapen and flattens out when fired (causes more damage) the change in shape gets even more dramatic when the bullet hits some thing. So that little piece of copper or lead will not fit down the gun barrel. You could take the bullet melt it recast it and put it in another cartridge, but that seems like a lot of work.

A bullet must fit into its casing and not be dislodged by prior firing. A bullet must fit through the barrel and not fragment when doing it. Reuse is already a very bad idea - and it hasn't left the muzzle yet.
