Try uninstalling this stuff using Add Remove Programs in the Control panel. If this is a Vista OS, you will find the uninstaller in Start/Control Panel/Program Features. High light the program that you want to be rid of. You will then see uninstall appear, click it and follow the instructions.
After you have gotten rid of the software that you don't want, if there are icons left on the desktop just right click them and click delete.

You should be able to uninstall these features/programs. In the "start menu" go to "Control Panel" go to "add/remove programs" it'll load all installed programs and you should be able to choose to uninstall one at a time through this way. Also each program has it's own folder in the "C:\Program Files" folder. Within each seperate program it should offer it's own uninstall program that you can click on.
If these programs are not yet installed but just shortcut links to aol features then you can simply delete them.

Go to "My Computer" and click on "add or remove programs"
A list of pre installed programs will come up. click on the ones you do not want and click remove and follow the prompts.
Good luck.

Add/Remove programs
If not available go to run and type in msconfig and click the startup tab, then uncheck those boxes and those programs will not run.
Or go to the start menu and see if they are listed and uninstall them.

this depends on whether or not its just an icon to a website or an installed program... if you've gone through the add/remove program list and you're not seeing the items that you're wanting to delete, most likely they're just icons... simply right click on them and choose "delete"
