if they weren't, why didn't you quote ANY man who said something nice?

Your examples are extreme examples to attempt to prove a point which may or may not be an assumption about reality.
If YOU believe that people, women OR men are compassionate, then that is what you will find in your life. There are 6 billion people on the planet coming from many different cultures, up bringings within those cultures, attitudes, triumphs, defeats, wins, hurts, etc. etc. To generalise any sex or gender is a waste of time.
The question is what is the purpose of finding out other's opinions on the matter, which is after all, what you will find - opinions - and very little in the form of fact.
We often ask others to find out how we should or shouldn't behave in life.
I say: Be yourself. Make your own beliefs and assumptions based on objective information for your experiences will never be the same as someone elses.
Oh, if we could have the luxury of saying: "All mice are brown". Life would be simple but would it be interesting?

I hate to admit it, but yes they are. The bestseller "men are from mars, women are from Venus" explains some basic reasons for this.
