No, i think you can't but you can play in Friday, Saturday and Sunday night if you're really good. A year before Chris Paul played on rookie game and he played in the skills challenge.

Yeah< I'm sure you can and sure it has happened. I can't think of any names right now, but its possible Reggie Miller was in the skills and 3-point contest in the same year. I think Vince Carter was in the skills and dunk contests one year. Not sure though, just guessing.
