Bush likes to play war. He remembers how much fun he had playing G.I Joe and wants to keep the war machine rolling. If the military industrial complex doesn't have a future enemy it might die out and we can't have that.

Only an uninformed fool would take Vladamir Putin's words and turn it into a slam on Bush.
People are missing the Iran connection, imo. Russia has been openly arming Iran for some time. Apparently, Russia wants Iran in the nukes game, and probably would like to profit from those sales.
Iran would like Iraqi oil for itself, presumably to pay for the nukes.
Russia is just turning the heat on, hoping it will make us leave the ME.

Bush has not threatened Russia. The missile defense program is a defense program period. It will also protect Russia. The reason why we need the missile defense system in Europe is because Iran has threatened ot send nukes into Europe including Russia once he has the technology to do so.
But hell we don't need Europe anyway. Let the whole continent be destroyed by the evil Muslim hoard coming out of Iran.

I think you're right, there's something wrong with Bush's brain. What we've seen so far may be only the early manifestations. As the election time draws near, Bush may suspend the constitution indefinitely:
"Bush Anoints Himself as the Insurer of Constitutional Government in Emergency
May 18, 2007 By Matthew Rothschild
With scarcely a mention in the mainstream media, President Bush has ordered up a plan for responding to a catastrophic attack.
Under that plan, he entrusts himself with leading the entire federal government, not just the Executive Branch. And he gives himself the responsibility “for ensuring constitutional government.”

Hi buss where you been! Bush didn't threaten anyone and the relationship with Russia is tenative at best to begin with. Putin has to put on the tough guy face for his own politcal reasons, which is why the tough guy talk. They were evenasked to join in the missle defense! Iran and war??? What makes you think that We want war with them. Far from it and something that we don't have to worry about, as Irsael will take care of that....they have to....Their national security!

Bush didn't threaten Putin. He encouraged Putin to join us in working a missile defense solution together. I saw the clip, though. Bush's tone, body language, and choice of words was completely off base for a welcoming comment, and seemed more like a taunt or jeering. Sometimes he's a real boob, even though I know he meant well.

Its pointless bickering.
The missile shield has failed time and time again when tested under real world conditions and is a governmental boondoggle with billions of tax dollars wasted on it.
The shield is meant to protect Europe from missiles launched by a ME country or North Korea, but as Putin correctly points out, none of these countries have a missile that can reach Europe.
=Fish: I suggest spending our tax money more wisely in other areas, than on a program that has repeatedly failed to produce the results that were expected.

Putin is just posturing for domestic consumption. Putting a defensive missile shield in Europe is no more threatening than a police officer wear a bulletproof vest.

Looks like Bush has "cut and run" from Iran. What's next a cut and run from a pre-emptive strike on Canada. Oh the shame. When will it all end.
