adding a can of Coca Cola classic to the wash. It sounds crazy I know...but it works. I use this on my kids socks to get them white.

For my colors I use color safe bleach. CLorox makes a great one that doesnt have any dyes or perfumes in it. Clorox Free I think is whats its called.

I used to use RIT whitener and brightener because it really works, but my youngest has sensitive skin and it made him break out. SO We use the can of Soda...it HAS TO BE COCA COLA CLASSIC! Nothing else works. I use coke for all kinds of things around the house. I dont like to use a lot of chemicals because I have asthma and so does my daughter. So I use coke in the laundry, I use it to clean the toilet-pour in a can and let it set for 15 min, scrub a little and its clean! It cleans the metal sink in the kitchen too.

Powder Bleach and cold water. Add a mild detergent.

Trick is to let them soak for an hour or two.

Whites become white and colors get bright without fading.

Borax, Add in some bleach with your regular washing detergent. This is to run only the white clothes/socks/towels by themselves in the washer.
