Ashraful was the Vice Captain of Bangladesh Cricket Team and as such when the Captain is changed normally the Vice Captain will be the automatic choice for Captaincy. Ashraful is a promising youngster in the Bangladesh Team and fully deserves the captaincy.
As far as Tushar Imran is concerned, he has not been found as successful in Test Cricket as in ODI. While he has scored only 55 runs from 4 Test Matches with the highest score of 28 runs, he has scored 547 runs from 37 ODI with the highest score of 65 runs. That was the reason why he was not included in the test team.

bangladesh dont have many seniour players to choose from
only rafique amongst the experienced lot has a permanent place in the side
only ashraful had the experience and dynamics to become the leader
i think he is a good choice
