boy look at all of the justifications for minimizing people's voice in the voting booths and outright law breaking.
cons have completely lost sight of what is right and what is wrong.
they have manipulated the process in such a way as to entrench and hold onto power.
this, among many other reasons is why i'll never vote for a republican again - ever!

I am an Independent, and hold no brief for either the GOP or the Democratic Party. I would have to answer your question this way: No more than the Democrats gerrymandering have destroyed the democratic values America is supposed to stand for. The problem as I listen to the "candidates" for the upcoming elections comes down to the fact that they are all talking garbage. I have yet to hear a straight answer to anything from anyone of the Politicians of either party.

You know, Democrats had their hand at Gerrymandering for a long time. I think Republicans have been more agressive going about it, but Dems don't exactly have the moral high ground on that issue.
EDIT: Out of curiousity, looked up Elbridge Gerry (whom the term Gerrymander comes from) to see which party he belonged to. I wanted to see which party we could blame for starting this. So, it figures that he was a member of the "Democratic Republican" party. See, they are both guilty, lol.

Oh get a life.
Redistricting has been going on for a long time both democrats and republicans do it.
So why are you now just picking on the republicans?
As far as afraid I have seen the republicans show up at CNN and Fox but democrats don't show up on Fox. Now tell me again who is afraid.

Gerrymandering will always occur as long as the United States is a republic.
The thing you need to understand is that the United States is not a democracy. It is a republic. The difference being that in a democracy the citizens directly govern themselves by voting on everything. In a republic, the citizens elect representatives to govern for them.

Republicans didn't invent gerrymandering. In most cases they simply undid Democratic gerrymandering. That's the way of politics (true, it's sad). We've always survived, we will this time too.

No more so than Democratic gerrymandering--each does this when its party is in power. That's what they are suppose to do. When political power changes from one party to another, it means the public is really, truly, fed up.

blah blah blah. generalizations again. gerrymandering is not new. instead of posting questions like this on ya, get involved in a campaign.
and as a matter of fact, both parties do it, democrats as well as republicans so dont think the democrats are clean of this.

Being an Independent, I can see why you are on your tenth ID.
You can't be downing the other party without repercussions.
