I guess they would have to do it in the space shuttle and not out in outer space. In the shuttle they don't have to wear the big suit. How do you think they go to the bathroom?

don't astronauts wear diapers? I thought I saw that somewhere. And I think they can take off their suits at certain points as long as they are inside their ship... not positive though. They must be able to because what about poop? male AND female astronauts would need to get rid of that somehow right?

NASA has a document on gender issues related to space-flight. It says that most astronauts who are female choose oral contraceptives during space-flight. I'd imagine that many keep taking them during the flight, so that they don't have period. However, the section on "Menstrual Efflux and Retrograde Menstruation" may be of interest:

What? Of COURSE they take off their suits.

They actually go to the bathroom several times a day AND change their clothes and clean themselves every day.

You need to do better research.

duhh! they take a pill which stops thier periods allltogether!

maybe they either make the trip or when they won't be on their period or feed them hormones to keep it from happening..
