why cant gm build the crosley since it gets about 50mpg?

Do you ever wonder how many patents have been issued for engines that get even better gas mileage than that and then the big companies buy them and quash all hopes of production because the oil companies would not make so much money?

maybe it costs them too much to build one and maybe thats why they wont do it
