The IUD should be in your uterus & your husband shouldn't be able to feel it. I would strongly suggest making an apt. with your doc. & getting checked out. You might need to have it replaced. As someone mention, have the string trimmed.

If it is the actual IUD then it will need to be replaced. If he is just feeling the strings see if the Dr. can trim them more. You don't say how long you have had it. If you just got it.......give it some time the strings will soften and curl around the cervix. I have and IUD and my husband never feels anything.

Yeah, get to your doc ASAP! I had a couple IUDs when i was younger, and they would slip out like you describe, so eventually I couldn't use them. But maybe a different kind would work better for you! Or a diaphram, that way you're still not having to deal with the side effects of pills, etc.

sounds like the IUD slipped down, it shouldn't be in the vagina at all, it should be resting inside the uterus with only the strings hanging down. See your doc ASAP, if the device did slip down it's not preventing anything anyway and may be causing damage.

Stabbing him in the penis is the preventative method, didn't they tell you that???! Just kidding.

You should call your doctor, that doesn't sound very pleasant for either of you and definitely shoudl not be happening!!!

Good luck ( =
