try http://www.tripod.com they are the same as yahoo or google you can have a free website with hosting.

Just go into any search engine and type "free website". You'll get tons of options.
Most of them make the process of setting up the website really easy and some allow you to attach your domain name once you buy it.
I suggest you try out a few, see what works and delete the rest. Once you're really satisfied with your website and want your own domain you can purchase it and use a redirect to point to your website.
