I'd go with undergraduate (2nd or 3rd year)who likes to read ahead.

I commented recently that some of his questions are fairly advanced grad-level concepts and a few ought to be easy for anyone who's taken an elementary physics course.

I'm going with someone with lots of free time (or unsupervised time at work which allows for much Internet surfing). He appears to enjoy asking (and re-asking) questions to which he already knows the answer and that often have already been posted by others...

So, purely speculating, I would guess,

Unemployed scientist/science fan

Teacher/professor at any level

Student at high school/college/postgraduate level

Homeless person with Internet access and a physics book

Scientist in any one of a number of fields

Someone with a physics problems book from which endless questions are posted...

Hmmm... now I'm wondering why is this question in the physics section or if anyone really cares....
