Would you wear fake fur - or do you think all fur is wrong on principle?

There's no need to wear fur these days when synthetic materials do the job just fine and look quite beautiful. I think fur just looks ugly. It's a dead animal!

I think all fur is wrong. I think the thought of wearing a dead animals fur around as a fashion statement is crazy. I think that if clothes stores absolutely won't go without fur then, fine, faux fur is ...acceptable. But I would never wear it. Wearing fur even if it IS fake is still condoning the slaughter of helpless animals.

if you wear leather, its fur but without the fuzzyness. So, therefore, you shouldn't wear leather shoes, or purse, or pants. Or leather coat or jacket.

But isn't the fake "man made" leather just as wrong on principle as the "fake fur"

Needless to say, I think if people are going to wear fur/leather, they should eat the animal it came from.

Personally, I do have some fur, only because it has been in my family for many long years, but I do not wear it because I think its sad.

On the other hand, half of my purses and shoes are made from leather. Hopefully, cow leather so I know the animal wasn't used just to make up my fashionable wardrobe.

I personally wouldn't wear fake fur but I guess people wear it because it isn't actually the real thing therefore they're not killing anything. I think as long as it hasn't harmed another animal then I have no problem with other people wanting to wear it. And hey, it's cheaper, although people who wear it don't realize how cheap it makes them look.

A human wearing fur, for me, is first of all.... funny!!

Wearing an animal's hide, no matter how expensive, how luxurious, isn't it preposterous? We go back to Stone Age, when humans were wearing hides to be protected...

For the same reason, fake fur is as funny too.

Moreover I am against all fur wearing. Haven't we done enough damage to the ecosystems?? Enough with vanity...

Fake fur is fine because its no harm to any animal. It's the same as wearing a leopard print top which isn't morally wrong.

There is nothing wrong with wearing fake fur. It certainly appeases the special interest group that opposes real fur, and, is far less likely to get a bucket of paint thrown on it albeit it seems that one ought to be able to wear what they want.

Yes, I would wear fake fur, but not real fur. I also eat meat and wear leather.

I wouldn't wear real fur.. because I have a chinchilla.. and he is a cutie.. and I wouldn't wear fake fur because he would probably eat it.. lol
