The easiest way would probably be to reformat the harddrive then re-install the operating system, provided you have a working system disk, you will lose all your information etc off the drive but you could store important stuff on CD/DVD. If you are using XP just insert the CD and run through it which will format and partition the disk for you. Have a look at the website below it is full of useful information.
Good Luck

Yer trying to "remove" Norton? Good luck! It's a hard lil' booger to dig out! After you "remove program" via Control Panel, you may have to go to Symantec or elsewhere to fetch a utility to dig out and clean up the software. Plus, you may have to go in, as I did, and find ALL the folders like SYMANTEC and NORTON...like down in "c:\Program Files\" that contain any part and parcel of Norton and delete every grudge, as it will continue to eat up valuable disk space! Norton digs itself deeply into a system, and that's why I will never ever install anything Norton-invented ever again!
(I hope you get an Answer here, and award points to, the person who points out that removal utility for you...again, good luck!)
