I guess because they think that they are like our best girlfriend who is supposed to stick up for us.Or maybe they idolized us.All I know for sure is I'm tougher than any of those "guys" so DO NOT try to do me any favors.

Do you think it's not possible for a man to have feelings towards someone (not romantic) when he's gay and the womans straight. A lot of gay guys stand up for lesbians too lOL

Because as women, decades ago, gay men are being discriminated today. It's kind of solidarity. You think how these brave women fought for their rights no matter social or religious prejudices. And finally they got it, despising those bigot men who still think there are "natural" roles for men and women, and the only thing they want is maintain the status quo. So in some way we want this for us, too. That society finally realizes we are part of the world and we need our rights confirmed by law, and finish with anger against us as social or religious one.(Sorry for the length, maybe it's for the pride month I felt inspired).

Why wouldn't anyone stand up for anyone regardless or gender or preference, if you feel that person is right or needs defending? Sex does not need to be a factor in every situation.
If you defended a co-worker (male or female) because they were wrongly accused of something and you knew it ... does that mean you want to sleep with them?
You need to re-access why you have and /or need friends.

I all has to do with a concept called 'common courtesy'. An old fashion kind of idea that basically means that EVERYBODY is entitled to some degree of personal respect from each and every one of Us. The idea of a reciprocal state of respect would be appreciated. That is why Women also stand up for Men, or had You forgotten that?

You think Paris Hilton is the coolest thing on Earth and you are wondering why gentlemen stand for a lady. OK go ahead and be who you wanna be but I just have to question where you are coming from.

They're standing up for you as a human, not a homosexual.
It takes person, not gender or orientation to stand up to someone.
As for why they won't kiss or bang you?
Did you forget they're gay?
You don't really float their boat that way, maybe you have a brother?

It's because it's another group of people that have been discriminated and are discriminated against so we believe that all people are equal then we have to follow through and we really do believe that so thats why we stand up for women's rights

Becasue they are human beings. Gay men (and Women!) understand the need for respect for who they are not what they are. Therefore, respect is very important to them.
Disrepect of any kind based on stereotyping or bigotry is reason enough to get most gays riled. But if those women are being bitchy or if they have serious personality flaws...see how few of them step up to the plate to defend them.
Gays, as most people should, know the value of treating people as individuals not as stereotypes.
