If it were possible to shoot a round from a standard firearm say a Beretta or a 357 magnum and alter time into slow motion so a human standing close by could grab the bullet and hold onto it by its sides, return time to normal again at that instant would the human be able to stop the bullet with their own strenth?

The strength of the "hit" imparted by a bullet is measured by it's impulse.

In classical mechanics, the impulse of a constant force is the product of the force and the time during which it acts. According to the Theorem of Impulse and Momentum (derived from Newton's second law), the impulse applied on a body is equal to the change in its linear momentum:

Ft = mv

When time slowed, the impulse was made small, becuase the change in time (the "t" in the formula above) is small.

When time returned to normal, the impulse of the bullet would be large and it would do lots of damage to the person.

Beside that, the bullet would be VERY hot, so when the person held it, they would be burned.

Depends on how strong the person is,

chances are the bullet would not be stopped at all , as bullets travel at about 330 m/s. Stopping it would be really hard by using only hands.

momentum from the bullet

m1v1 - m2v2 = force
.01*300,000 - 0 = 3000N

erm... you'd have to have a grip like a vise and even then im not sure! definately not!

Oh and 3000N is the equivelent of holding 306kg with just your fingers... that like being dangled by your feet in the air and suspending 4 people in the air with you using only your finger and your thumb, quite hard im sure you'll agree.

Your question makes no sense except for some old bugs bunny cartoons.
