My Uncle and Aunt owned 3 restaurants. The bigger one the family got together
and made 'home made ice cream'. At that time all the toppings were on the counter. 3 scoops of ice cream, pineapple, cherries, whipped cream, nuts, chocolate syrup. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. They have both died
long ago, but I still remember the fun we had. I also waitressed there as a young
girl. It was so much fun and a lot of hard work.

My favorite food as a child was cereal - any kind of cereal. I still eat cereal today - even for dinner. My favs are:
Corn Pops
Honeycombs
Honey Bunches of Oats w/Almonds
Kellogg's Raisin Bran.
I would imagine anyone that ate cereal as a child still eats cereal as an adult - even if it's not the really sugary kind.

I think my fav food was cheeseburger and fries at my dad's restaurant. I still like them, but not like I did. I do remember that a lot of the things I disliked, I now like.

A cereal named Concentrate, they quit making it years ago but I remember how it tasted and I would still love it today.

My favorite food was something my great grandmother called blackberry dumplings. I haven't had them since she died. I'll have to see if I can find a recipe and then see if I like them as well. I'm guessing that I liked them so much just because it was something that only SHE made for me and I only got to see her once a year.
Thank you for bringing back that wonderful memory for me. :D

My favorite was Cracker Jacks, I remember they use 2 have a little prize in every box.
