You may be surprised by this . I'm open for ANY logical explanations for this .

Right now , there is a question titled something like " Lovely Americans. . . . .Iran is Your Friend " .

It's on the board right now . It basically says that some guy in Iran wanted to explain what it's really like in Iran . And there are many good people and things there , I know that . But this one ignores and denies his own governments PUBLIC STATEMENTS , easily researched and verifiable . It reeks of propaganda so bad , that I believe even some of the anti-war folks will smell it !!

Then to top it off , I notice that although it's the longest question I've ever seen posted. . . . .. . .THERE ARE NO BREAKS IN IT . Yahoo's question character limit is 1000 characters . I know , my questions get long . But there's no break like 'additional comments' and '6 minutes ago' for example . It's THOUSANDS OF CHARACTERS LONG WITHOUT EVEN 1 BREAK !!

WTF Is Going On ?

Here , I'll add something just so you can see how my question breaks from the initial posting limited to 1000 characters and then 'additional ' information . That person's question was posted 38 minutes ago in Politics if you're searching for it .

If you think what I'm thinking , SPREAD THE WORD just in case it gets removed . I want everyone to see this .

Did Yahoo Post That 'Question' ?
If not , then how did thousands of characters get by the limit ?

And many times when someone spells out the things that the dictators in middle eastern countries say that are anti-American and hateful, the answer or question gets deleted as a violation of TOS.

I will bet you that your question will get reported and removed.

There are many on here from around the world with a private agenda. It is modern day propaganda at its finest.

No, I don't think terrorists have side-stepped Y/A limits.

Like someone is going to move to Iran and become a terrorist because they read a post on Yahoo? Or Yahoo is in the pocket of some terrorist organization?

For what reason? Iran doesn't allow a free exchange of ideas over the Internet. Why would Yahoo want to join that club?

I took a look at your posted questions, and it seems you are pushing the boundaries of responsible posting.

I understand your point...and it is curious.

However, regarding the content...it would be interesting to know the general opinion of Americans regarding life in Iran. I would suggest that the vast majority only knows what it hears on Fox, CNN and the other networks. Without any real knowledge of their own, they are willing to villify a nation of people...perhaps a voice from that side is not so bad...

I will, however, agree that there is absolutely no way to veryify the validity of the posters comments - just as you cannot assume all American posters represent the vast majority of their countrymen.

Just to add to your own observation Earnest. This is not the first time it has posted if it the one I saw the other day.

The other day there was one exactly like the one you are talking about and the guy says that he isn't sure if his English is good enough so he had a friend proof read it....

I thought it was strange the other day when I saw it too but didn't think to mention it. I can be very slow at times.

Sorry but if I were in Iraq right now and could speak to the American Public, I think the first thing I would say would be.....

"Could you please stop the damn gun fire and bombs. It's hard to sleep around here."

Earnest, I read that a day or so ago, but when I went back to reread it, I couldn't locate it. I guess if one can just take this guy at face value it lessons his impact. He obviously likes to toss words around. One I am having concerns about is Dark Angels posts. The person definitely has an agenda.Sometimes it feels like 'she' is going for a direct hit.

I think there are some serious 5th column movements in this country, the enemy knows we are at war, those in America who choose to ignore that fact are doing this country a dis-service.

Surfer Dud's link should be required reading to the entire YA staff, and if they really are supporting "jih had ist" ideals, which I doubt seriously, their stock would plummet overnight if that scandal were true. Who would knowingly support a company that would want us to suffer and perish? Clearly, that makes no sense, so I think you have the case of a hacker or one sympathizer on the staff, ugh.

Iran is already in a war footing, we are still in denial over here, I really don't understand why people can't see that.

God Bless America and remember 6/6/44 today please.

I've noticed a lot of posts that are WAY more than 1000 characters. I think Y!A has software bugs that some people have figured out how to exploit.

actually I've seen the post and frankly I don't have any problem with it at all... your post would suggest that we live in a "propaganda" free zone? The only hostility that I can find from Iran is the reports generated by the western press, Iran as a majority Muslim country has a legitimate qualm with Israel and her policies, and there really is no difference between hard line Muslims and Christians.. if Israel was suddenly leading the world in late term abortion you would consider it very differently, but as
there is a vast sea of oil underneath Iran and Syria we have selectively chosen Iran (1st) to be a flash point...
No I think if there is any violation here it is you calling out a specific member for their opinion which is against Yahoo policy... so I am going to report this question..
Down with Big Oil...

Yeah I know who you're talking about! He posts the EXACT SAME thing almost weekly. However, that does not mean he is a terrorist. I do not see him breaking any of their rules, other than repeating the same post every week.

To be honest, I've seen far more vicious posts filled with hate speech and such; those questions are guised differently each time but still promoting the same propagandish filth about the opposition. (i.e. "Why are liberals hippy scum?")

I don't see anything wrong with an Iranian spousing his or her views about their nation. Most Iranians likely simply want peace and a little pride, like most people, civilized people, wish for in the world. I too noticed the long comments to the question exceeding the limit, but, I attributed it to Yahoo might be "different", in a computer, mechanical way in some nations, or other places, when compared to here. Remember what they say happens when you assume...
