Have you found that if you do not support the predominant religious groups or belong to one of them and you come from average social standing, that you cannot elevate yourself into positions of esteem or monetary gain without significantly more pain and suffering than those who came from those backgrounds?

Finally, a question of essence! This is so true and so scary at the same time that sometimes i think we live in the middle ages, since modern archpriesthood haunts the collective subconscious with medieval archetypes that still seems to control the flow of knowledge and wealth. Just look at the people that are on top of things. They all fund churches and religious groups, from protestant and evangelical churches to new age groups.

Why? Is this some kind of pay-off? I'm not even talking about politicians that need the votes so they become puppets of high priests. Charity is one thing but controlling the minds of mass population strikes a contradiction when it comes to people that used logic and rational thaught to become rich.

My friend, the vast majority of universities and their professors in the western world are controlled by religious dogmas. It makes sense that they want to reproduce and pass down the same protype. So, when you don't share the same metaphysical beliefs with them, you stand as a treat to the pattern, fearing that even your mere presence casts a subversion to their system, since they CANNOT CONTROL YOU by taking advantage of your insecurities.

In my country 97% of the population traditionally belongs to a solid and omnipotent Church, which doesn't have to fear change through religious alienation of its congregation. Nevertheless, if I make the mistake to dispute anything concerning its power, dogma or even one of its members on personal level, I'm done!

Yes, we still live in obscurantism and I don't even dare think what happens if you are an outlander. Maybe then you should take advantage of modern political correctness and defend your right to be different. What else is there left?

If that is what you resign your life to, then yes. If you feel your only excuse for your pain and suffering is "the man", then so be it. I am mixed race, 30 years old, agnostic, and generally grumpy in my disposition [especially in the morning before I have coffee], and none of those things you just listed has stopped me from 1) getting an education, and 2) making over 70K a year, and owning a home. And I came up in southwest Atlanta, otherwise known as the "hood". I went to Booker T. Washington high school and graduated with a 2.3 grade point avereage. Yeah sure, they told me I was never "supposed" to succeed, but why should I resign myself to THAT establishment. They can only show you the door, it is up to YOU to walk through it. And if all you've got to offer is excuses as to why you can't do it, than that's your character flaw, not theirs.

So, you go ahead and NOT go to college because it's hard, and work for mickey D's. Don't worry, I wont have any problem spending MY money at YOUR drive-thru.

Peace

From the point of view of somebody who has studied historic previous, i might say that the reason that a lot of human beings oppose Wicca and different Pagan religions is as a results of the fact lots of the historic Pagan religions have been opposition for and proof against the unfold of Christianity. Christianity does no longer have unfold as effectively because it did if it had no longer had government backing. It replaced into in common terms in collaboration with the government that the Christian church replaced into able to tension conversions on many distinctive communities. This state-backed faith then served to prop up the government. NOW, interior the present era, the systemized prejudices from this historic context have become a factor of the non secular context that produced the King James translation of the Bible and then by utilising extension the extra "conservative" or "classic" Protestant denominations contained in u.s.. Wiccans and Reconstructionist Pagans comprehend that we are contributors of minority religions. it incredibly is unquestionably plenty extra probable to produce an physique of ideas of expertise in that a great form of the person contributors of those religions have been initially from a differing non secular historical past

I went to school and worked with all kinds of people with all kinds of religious belief systems. I would guess that my bosses would have filled that description as well. I do know I was never asked my religious beliefs.

I guess standing on your desk and shouting that all people should agree with your religious views would be a severe limiting factor on your earnings potential. But, then again, so would standing on your desk and trying to sell Amway or Tupperware.

Nice try at trying to find an excuse for not working too hard and someone to blame for your lack of success.

It's as simple as this: if you don't belong to the particular religious group of the institution that you are attending, then just don't talk about it. If you never talk about it, everyone will just assume that you are a member of their church! Most people are too stupid to have meaningful theological discussions anyway. The ones who are more intelligent won't care what your religion is. So, the point is, don't go running around, shouting about your religious opinions to just anybody. Only talk with more intelligent people about this subject.

I have found nothing of the sort. A college education has little to do with religion; it is intended to prepare you for life generally, and usually employment specifically. No employer gives a rat's behind about your religion, as long as your practice of it does not interfere with getting the work done.

What "major religious groups" are you referring to? Do you mean that the College must be in agreement with the religious groups or that the Individual going to college must be in agreement? If you've got good grades, who cares what religious group you agree with?

Just keep your religious views to yourself. When you build some solid academic credit, then you can start offending people.

Not at all. I see a lot of nonbelievers in positions of authority. Most people who use drugs and experiment with homosexuality do it in college, and most colleges view religion negatively.

Spoken like a true teenager. You are right - skip college. I hear Wal-Mart is hiring stockers. Sounds like you are trying to find a weasle hole for giving up and being a failure in life. So start right now - just quit trying.
