I am trying to find my x-husband, we have 2 kids together & have had no contact for several years (his choice) It was court ordered that he pay medical expenses and has not in 5 years (total of almost $20,000) the Attorney Generals Office said that i needed to send him a "certified" letter asking for payment & send the proof to them. I cant find him, they do have the info but cant give it to me, i was told i would have to hire a private investigator. I am a single parent & cant afford that. I have checked several online sites & still cant find him & dont have the money to pay anyone else. I do have his S.S. DOB, is there anyone who can do a free SS lookup? Please help, my oldest has severe medical problems & really need help with the bills.
Thank u & god bless

I have tried the basics like, yahoo, zaba, etc. his name is Jerry White & lives in Ohio & there are alot out there. So i really need to find him by SS, i know there has to be a sight or someone with an account to where they can look this up for free. All of my credit cards are maxed so i cant pay anything. I wouldnt want to find him except there are going to be alot more bills coming in soon from the newest surgury on my son. Im going bankrupt. The court orderded him to pay all medical bills & they wont even help me get the money from him. Our laws suck.....

heres a couple places you might be able to try http://www.ussearch.com/consumer/index.jsp http://wink.com/?dhp=1 you could also try this http://www.supportcollectors.com/index.php you just pay 30% of anything you get and they have their own private investigators they don`t get paid inless you do.

I know you don't have any money, but spending some is required to find this person. You can look on classmates.com. It is how I have found a lot of people. You can write to him that way. But, if you have his SSN, you can also do a public records search. Any attorney can do that easily and find him. You can also apply for a credit report that will show his address. This costs less than 39.00 bucks. If you are a dishonest person, you can always fill out a credit application in his name for something outrageously expensive and put your address. When you get turned down for credit, the credit bureaus are required to offer you a free credit report. this will also list addresses.

For cheap, you may want to see if there is a state database for court cases. In Arizona, even traffic court can appear and it usually is by name and date of birth plus often shows the plaintiff's address. Professional licenses (like pest control) may also have search-able databases that may give addresses or company he works for.

Additionally, some county recorder's offices have search-able documents that might give you an address or other usable information. County tax assessor records may also be useful if he owns land or a building.

Finally, if he's a religious man, you can try calling churches of his denomination in areas you may think he lives...

Can you put an ad in the paper instead of a certified letter?

What about family? Does he have any family that might tell you where he is?

Is it possible to add the medical expenses to the child support?

Have you tried taking the paperwork proving his legal responsibility to pay the medical expenses to the people you owe the money to? Perhaps they can remove the bill from your name and place his name on it.

Have you tried going on Yahoo people search? With that information you should be able to find him or pay a small fee to join the sight for a complete search. It will tell you a little info and then tell you what else they have ie.current phone & address for a minimal fee. Good luck and hope you find the deadbeat dad!

Good Luck... If he doesn't want to be found, he wont be. Plus, you sure you want him back in your lives? 20k and he's going to stay away? Doubt it, he'll demand visitation. Whats worth more, your kids and you struggling together, or a man with a paycheck thats in hiding?

Go through the proper channels to find him and then just let it go.
But don't do any extra work, tell them they'll have to find him and give them the information.

Ya it rots financially, but sometimes thats what piece of mind costs.

Here are some links to try. Hope you find him and he pays up. You will likely need to pay about $40 or so to get his address tho. Try Zaba first (that might give you a free address), then try Intelius second. Here are also a few other links which might help you.
