Not exactly old sheet music, but... The composer-in-residence at my junior college took the original handwritten manuscript of his harpsichord concerto and wallpapered his music room at home with it.

I like the decoupage suggestions! Wooden boxes or frames or plaques. A wooden tray, a CD holder, a clock frame or even an old metronome (not the electronic kind). Do a photo box, or a music folder (I'm thinking an old 3-ring binder or a wooden scrape book kit), a section of wall, a "frame" for a mirror.............

OH MY GOSH!!! I just gave myself an idea! My daughter just graduated HS and was in the marching band all four years. We have lots of old sheet music and old music books (from way back when I played). She's just moved in to her own place and could use some decorating help! Hehehe........I'm gonna go have fun now!

1) Use them in Scrapbook for a music teacher or a music lover.
2) Backing for pictures. Put it in a 8x10 frame with a 5x7 picture.
3) Make a bulletin board and cover it with the sheet music
4) Make greeting cards for music lovers
5) Cover books that have a old ratty covers.
6) Cover cardboard boxes of different sizes and use them for storage boxes for desk supplies, magazines, Cd's and such.
Hope these help

Well its been awhile since I thought about this...but I remember the suggestion that you dip the music in tea to make it look older ....and let it dry out. Then "singe" the edges of the music ...and then frame it in an older looking frame.

Or use it in a shadow box with some other musical looking items....like an old violin...or a smaller decorative one....maybe two or three different pictures arranged behind them...and some small rosebuds, ribbon, etc.

You can decopage music on anything....wastebaskets, lamps, a folding screen, etc.

Music is very versitile...anything you can do with decorative paper...you can do with music.

We used music for one of my daughter's wedding program...it was on the background...her bridesmaids carried wooden violins we stained and decorated with flowers.....everyone knew she is very into music....and the violins were lovely.

use an old window to make a coffee table/end table. attach the window with hinges to the top of an old coffee table so it opens, put the sheet music on top of the table then close the window to cover and protect the sheets. you can change out the sheets to fit any decor you have. there's a better explanation on HGTV.com.

Yeah you can wrap gifts but I have another great idea...stain the paper with tea to give it that antique look, then frame them, it gives any room a cool look.
Deco-page it onto boxes or furtinure....many things.
Or you could just recycle it..lol

If you frame a 5X7 picture of someone playing an instrument, use an 8X10 sheet of sheet music in back of it.

decopage it onto boxes, a dresser, or even a canvas, then add a picture of a violin or something on top of that, or a miniature insturment on top of a box. it would make a lovely gift.

Place it on top of a table like it fell there and put "amazing glaze over it".
