Changed the default program to paint shop because I wanted to make pictures sizes smaller so I can email pictures, however when I did they changed in image quality now I can't find the original program that opened them, would it be easier to just restore the entire computer to before I changed the program.

In MS paint you need to save them back in the same format you opened them in. You can choose that from the drop down menu in Save As. - IE. If they were say .jpg and you saved them as a .bmp then you will loose image quality, but if you re size them and save them back as a .jpg they will be the same.

Windows 2000 is like any other Windows Operating System there are hundreds of programs that will handle images.
You can set anyone of them to be the default program to open pictures.

I think it is Windows Picture and Fax Viewer (at least it is in Win XP). I guess you mean the program that opens the picture when double clicking it.
You still can resize pics with paint shop afterwards. Simply run paint shop and use File>>Open in the menu there.

right click the pictures and wit "open with" it will give you a small list of programs or you can hit "more to choose" and pick the original. I have cereal photo album 6 but I like the windows picture and fax view so that's what I do.

the only thing is I have WINDOWS MEDEA CENTER (XP)
