Adultery is awful!! My husband cheated on me a few months ago and it totally ruined my trust for him. We are currently in therapy to try to work through all of the trust issues and to hopefully save our marriage. Besides it being one of the ten commandments that Thou shall not commit adultery--it's just wrong to put your spouse or partner through those feelings of hurt. It takes a very selfish person to cheat on someone you "love" because if you do truly love them then you would not want them to feel like that and if you don't love them then leave the relationship before you do cheat.

If adultery is really not a big deal then I might as well go out and kill someone right now cause it would be nothing more than a assult charge. You have give your heart and life to one person. You have made a sacrifice to love and and cherish this individual for LIFE. And to pay that bond no attention is down right disgusting. Why even have a marriage with a wedding and the honeymoon. Why not have it so you can buy a pass and you can call anyone in the world yours and only yours just for one night and then the next day you go and get another ticket. In conclusion adultery is very bad and should be takin into the highest consideration because it is someone else's heart that is on the line. Hope this answered your question.

Depends on the couple. Some couples think physical adultery is understandable and not a big deal, but wouldn't tolerate emotional adultery. For other couples, ANY adultery is a reason for divorce.

Personally, I think adultery is a big deal. I aslo think its possible to rebuild a relationship after adultery and that adultery alone isn't a reason to end an otherwise good marriage.

Adultery is a sin. The consequences are dire. Get yourself a New Living translation of the Holy Bible it is written in plain modern English. Find out for yourself how big a deal it is. You have free will and can choose to commit adultery, but you can not choose the consequences. When you get married you become one flesh with your spouse. What God has joined together let no man put asunder. The marriage bed shall not be defiled..........Let your own wife intoxicate you. I encourage you to read up on life all together.

Adultery is no big deal only to the people commiting it. Anything that is in the ten commandments...laws for the basis of humanity, is a big deal.

Yes it's a very big deal, especially if there's kids in the picture, I will not even use the bible, but if married men or women commit adultery because they want to prove that they still have what it takes, why get married in the first place instead of hurting the people that love and trust them??.................

Adultery - is voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and one who is not his or her spouse. Jason (not sure if you're marry) how would you like your spouse to have a sexual encounter with someone either then yourself? Would it be just okay? Adultery is a big deal - why should a person get marry if their going to sleep around - why not stay single. If a person likes a promiscuous lifestyle they can get all the whores and prostitutes (you'll have pay for it) they want. And along with that get an unwanted gift of gonorrhea, herbes, syphilis, crabs, aids....etc.

Hmmm,
First off there's the sexually transmitted disease thing.
Then there's the whole concept of marriage being between one man and woman forsaking all others.
That tends to make it the biggest deal of all to me.
I could picture the look on your face if you caught your wife having sex with another guy.
If it’s still no big deal to you by now then I'm sure your wife's lawyer will explain it to you in time.
This is my first post here and I’m glad the question was so silly even I answered it rite.

Yes it is a very big deal. Why even get married if you are just going to cheat?

It is a big deal to me! What if your partner was sleeping with someone else- would it be a big deal to you? Or would you just casually shrug it off?
