A friend of mine was asking whether its healthy to continue breastfeeding her 6 months old daughter after having an arbortin.
i told her to consult a doctor, now i feel i didnt help much.
do you think its healthy to continue the breastfeeding?

I would think so... She needs to use some protection... I mean the baby is ONLY six months old. She needs to just talk to her doctor...

It should be fine, she just has to watch the stress levels as the body takes a bit longer to recuperate from other things after childbirth. The doctor performing the abortion should have known she was a lactating mother, so would, or should have discussed it with her if it was going to be a problem.

i would personally get it checked with a doctor before continuing breastfeeding

I don't know of any reason why it would be a problem.

Have her call and talk to a Lactation Consultant.

Depends on the type of abortion. If it was chemically induced, no. However, if it was a manual abortion, she will probably be okay once the anesthesia is out of her system.

Tell you friend to get on birthcontrol so this doen't happen again.

As long as she's not on any type of medication(s) she should be fine to breastfeed... If she's on meds she should consult her doctor

i ahink it is ok
also a hink if she did want to have the other bby thn she sould have used a condom or summot i dont believe in abourtion ma sel but ye i think she can still breast feed but to be sure as her gp

yes, one has nothing to do with the other unless there's an infection or other health factors
