ok i go for a guy with an awesome personality and some people i know think its weird that i dont go for looks...are they just being be shallow??? cuz i think ..pretty boys are the most self conseded...not to be mean

You sound like a smart girl with her priorities set right. Personality is much more important for a long term relationship. Youth fades, looks fade, but personality will stay the same. Your friends will eventually learn that there is a lot more to a man and a relationship than good looks. A great personality can make a person good looking in my opinion and a good looking person with no personality seems to not be so good looking after getting to know them. Your friends sound somewhat shallow, but you are on the right track!

You are one of the few people I know who actually goes for what is important in a relationship. Looks change, then fade and finally deteriorate over time. What's left that holds people together are the precious, personal bonds that they have formed based on their personalities. Sure some may think it's nice to walk around with some "arm candy" but if he doesn't treat you right, respect you, encourage you, mentally mesh with you, of what real value is your relationship?
No, you are the "real" smart one here and don't let your friends tell you any different.
When you are older and still happily with this person, your friends may actually be jealous that you found true happiness while they settled for temporary pleasure.

No, its not weird at in fact there are many people out there that are the same way. The physical attraction does play a part in the equation also, but it is to what extent you take it to.
People have become to superficial, to the point of changing the meaning of pretty, in the modern world. The original meaning for pretty meant intelligence and a good moral behavior. I commend you,

if you like him and he makes you happy thats all that should matter, your friends, or people who are saying thats weird might just be jealous that they cant find someone they get along with as well as you and your man. In 50 years, were all going to be old and wrinkly with no teeth anyway, so if this is someone you like, but doesnt look the greatest Id go for it. Its not always about looks, because I agree, pretty boys are all about themselves and my last pretty boy spent more time in the bathroom after a shower than I did, and that made me feel like trailer trash ya know? But if he makes you happy go for it girly!

f**k what ur friends like in a guy. and do you. i give you props for looking on the inside rather than the outside. keep in mind that alot of people cannot do what you do. and thats why they always end up with a**holes who end up treating them like crap. u find a guy with a good heart, then it shouldnt really matter if their ugly or missing an arm, or an eye. trust in your heart and itll take you places girl.
