Here's a quick way to do it using Windows Movie Maker and audacity, the free recording software from Soundforge.

If you don't already have it, download and install audacity from:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/

Once all your software is installed, start Windows Movie Maker. Then take the following steps:
1. Go to File --> Import into collections and import the video
2. Once imported, you will see an icon of the video in the main window of Windows Movie Maker.
3. Bottom of your screen should show a "Show Timeline" link. Click it. If it says "Show Storyboard" do nothing. That means it is already showing the timeline.
4. Click-drag the video icon directly to the Audio/Music panel (the middle panel). This will extract only the audio.
5. Go to File --> Save and follow the wizard.

You will now have the audio extracted an saved in WMA format. Close Windows Movie Maker and start Audacity.

Use the File --> Open comand to open the WMA file you just created.

Export it to mp3. If it asks for the lame_enc.dll file just use any search engine to find and download it before exporting.

That's it, you're done.

download a program called tubehunter.........go to youtube and find the song or video, then download it into the tubehunter program in an mp3 format............then insert that into an email, it's that easy. Or, if you have the song on disc, and it's too large to send via email. You can send it by mailbigfile.com it allows large files. If i can be of more assistance let me know.

It really depends on what type of file that you are wanting to convert to an MP3. There are software products out there that will allow you to do this. Do a yahoo search for: convert (insert video type here) to mp3. This should bring you up a list of products that should do what you would like. I hope that this helps!
