1. When a player hits the ball very hard off the barrell of the bat
2. A pitch with A LOT of velocity (basically a pitch thrown by Nolan Ryan)
3. A derogatory comment which is left-handed pitcher that comes in to face a lefty to get an out or two. (Lefty One Out Guy= LOOGY)
4. A long and high home run
5. When the bases are loaded
6. The period of play after the deadball era (which ended sometime in the 1920's); Statistics and scores of games rapidly rose
7. a 1-2-3 double play (groundball to the pitcher, throws to the first baseman who steps on first for the force and then throws to the second baseman who tags the runner coming from first)
8. another term for second base

1-on the screws= hit the ball hard AKA on the button
2-mustard = fastball "put something on it"
3-loogy = lefty one out guy
4-moonshot=long,high homerun
5-no room at the inn= no where to put em AKA bases loaded
6-live ball era= began in 1920 with the new "lively" ball(offense stats began to rapidly rise)
7-lawrence welk= 1-2-3 double play
8-keystone sack=second base
