Okay, I am bleeding, bleeding, and more I know I need to have this done to make sure there is no cancer, but I really hate going "under"...has anyone had this done, and how long did it take to feel better afterword? Were you in a lot of pain afterwards? I know it is considered "minor" but it is never minor when it is you, right?

I understand how you feel, you are absolutely right it's never minor when it's you. I've had this procedure done and I felt nothing afterwards. I had no pain or discomfort. Everybody is different, but I wanted to let you know how it went for Me , because it may make you feel better about the procedure.

Some bleeding is normal- if it's a LOT then you can go to the ER just to make sure nothing's wrong. Same for pain. If you really hate going under you might want to ask your doctor about a local anesthesia instead of a general one. It's scary but it's definitely better than cancer! Good luck honey!

Yes. I have. Not for medical reasons exactly either. I was put under. The pain subsides in a couple days. I went back to school in a week. This was a couple years back. The thing I wasn't perpared for was after surgery, I awoke in a chair in a big room for recovery. the nurses were there for me, but then it was sorta scary... keep in mind I was 16. I just wanted my mommy. I went and got a hamburger at chili's after and then took my pain meds and slept the rest of the day. I stayed in bed for about 3 days and then was feeling alot better. If you want anymore advice feel free to email me!

good luck

There is some discomfort for about 1-2 days afterward. Mine was in conjunction with a miscarriage and the worse problem was the sadness. Since yours is for cancer check it may be a less psychologically hurtful tho.

I've had more than one. It is not bad at all. Not as bad as some craps i've had. Recovery is very Quick. You'll forget you had one.
