Dude, I don't think that this is such a wise decision. I know Miami really needed help in the passing game, and had a real good shot at winning some games, but now...things don't look so good. I know he's smart and knows Cam's offense, but he's OLD. Bret Favre OLD!!! He needs to quit the game and just watch it like some of us other people do. We have a healthy Dante right now, and they're thinking of letting him go, they have Beck, a very great QB and very great accuracy. Who agrees that Miami made a bad choice in trading for Green. I think so, and I believe the record for Miami will not be so great this year.

Okay. Sounds like some of y'all are not even getting my point. Trent sucks worst than Dante, and you might as well go with what you have and not waste any money. Four QB's, and all they have is...Dante>he's healthy so far, and can be great is he thinks. Green> To f'ing old to be in the game. Lemon>Who's this kid? Beck>Ohh, talent that is not even being used right now, give the kid a chance, if he screws up. Join the Miami QB fan club, they ALL suck!

I believe it was a good pickup. Trent Green is not the long term solution, John Beck is. Trent was just acquired to fill in for this season, and tutor John. I don't believe Miami has aspirations of making the Super Bowl this year, but Trent gives them a better chance at winning this year than a rookie QB, unproven (Lemon) or injury-waiting-to-happen (Culpepper). I predict they go 8-8 this year.

Trent is not a worse QB than Dante, Green is the most underrated QB in the NFL. He was a little hit shy at the end of the year last season, but if he's gotten over that Miami just picked up a solid QB. If you take out last year when he missed half the season, no QB since 2000 (except Favre and Manning) have put up better numbers than Trent Green. He's not as old in football terms as Favre because he spent 5 years holding a clipboard. He's got 2-3 good seasons in him still. I wish the Chiefs didn't have to get rid of him. He's going to be a great QB for Beck to learn under and it only cost them a 5th round pick. I don't see the downside here for Miami at all.

professional-Bowl high quality? Yeah, perhaps third string professional-bowl. i'm a Lions and Bengals fan and that i replaced into ecstatic whilst Joey Loserton went out of DTW. Miami is falling aside with Nick Saban's departure, 2 incredibly undesirable NFC quarterbacks(Culpepper, Harrington as a results of fact the NFC North is the worst branch). Yeah it is going to harm Kansas city yet they're on the way down the slope besides. The group i actually thinks this benifits is San Diego as a results of fact Kansas city isn't that stable anymore. It is likewise a great benifit to Denver for the comparable reason because it is to SD.Miami will pass 5-11 and KC will pass 7-9. properly it dosen't benifit the two group. i presumed U understood.

I like the pick up, as a short term solution. They needed *someone* who could make a throw. Ds were stacking the line against R Brown and Chambers was no threat. Did anyone complete a pass last year :-)
I am not so sure of Beck either, but at least this buys some time and at a decent price.

I agree, trent green is an overrated system QB who will fail in miami...again. Look for a 4-12 season unless they start Daunte.

Yeah. Remember the healthy Culpepper in '05 before his injury? 6 TDs and 12 INTs. Oh yeah. He had 10 turnovers in our first 2 games. Yeah. He's YOUR problem now.
