It could be multiple reasons your hard drive could be dying, there could be a wire hitting your fans, or the fans could be dying also.

This can be caused for various reasons.
1) Make sure not to have any other heavy duty electronics near your computer. When I have my guitar through my bigger amp near my computer it creates insane noise.
2) Choppy noises are often the result of a faulty or clogged fan. Check into that for sure.
3) Check to make sure there's nothing weird inside your computer. While you're at it, clear out the dust that can cause damage to things such as your fan.

Howdy!
It is usually a fan bearing that is going out. The 2 fans in most computers are the CPU fan and the power supply fan. Have those replaced and make sure there are no cables rubbing against the CPU fan

Hi. Check the fan for dust built up on the blades. This can cause an out of balance condition. Brush them off and see it the noise is reduced.

You could have a fan that's going. I'd check it out. CPU's run pretty hot and you don't want that thing burning out. But most newer computers will shut down before that happens.

Most likely you have dust build up inside your system, the cooling fan is probably dirty. Shut your system down, then take off the case..
Use a can of compressed air and clean out the inside of your system box...

Most likely the fan. Check it by listening close to the fan. They are cheap and easy to replace if you are the least bit handy. Well - that is if it is a desktop machine.

The hard drive is about to fail. You need to get a new hard drive. It might be cheaper in the long run to just get a whole new computer.

Could be temperature controlled cheap fans. It is summer, that is why they ran full blast (maximum RPM).
Try these:
