My fear of dying is.. disabling. I don't think anybody around me even knows the extent of it, because I am afraid to even mention that I am afraid of it.. that's how terrible it is. I don't even want to discuss it. When I think about it, I feel very hot and nauseous and feel like passing out. I just feel like.. What happens when I die and that's just.. it? I don't exist anymore? It's like.. so scary.. And I do somewhat believe in God, but, that's sometimes even scarier. And to me it doesn't make sense. I feel like God was just created to make people like me feel better and keep their sanity about dying. An afterlife is a helluva lot more appealing than nothing. Adds a point to our lives. But what if there isn't a point? It just seems.. too happily ever after, or convenient. I'm not asking to be saved or hear any speeches about how I should have more faith, I just want to know how to get rid of this fear. I think about dying at least three times a day every day of my life.

The best way to conquer fear is to face it head-on.
Find a hypnotherapist who does past-life regressions and have them take you through the experience of two or three of your easiest past deaths.
(Your sub-conscious already KNOWS which ones those would be - so mention that condition to the therapist at the start.)
In this way, you can KNOW what it is like to die without actually doing so in your present life.
Most regressed patients report that whatever trauma immediately precedes death may be awful (depending on the circumstances) but the actual DEATH, itself - the actual separation of the spirit from the body - is, in fact, a PLEASANT experience.

But the best thing is for you to FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF. Find a hypnotherapist as soon as possible. If your fear is causing you as much trouple as you say, then the cost of a few hypnotherapy sessions will be WELL worth it!

I used to be afraid. Now i have maybe a sick out look... but if I die then forget worrying. I won't have bills or anything.. I am not trying to be all religious because I have faith but at the same time it is not super christian, hardcore, praise the lord type faith. but seriously I have come to terms that if I die then I will be alright and eventually the people around me will be to. I try to live and not let that consume me... i would much rather fear spiders or clowns. LOL! If it gets too bad see a shrink. They may be able to figure out what is triggering this fear and help you over come it. If anything just don't think about it. If you have a near death experience it makes you appreciate what you have alot more but at the same time it kinda makes you feel a little relief from the fear. & my philosophy is when you die it is your time. You will not go sooner or later than you are supposed to, so if you die by a bullet or by cancer when it is your time to go you will go. I think every event in life holds its purpose and if i die it will be a significant event in someones universe... i don't know... i have alot of feelings on this and i am probably freaking you out right now.

I've lost several close family members and been with 3 as they passed. All three had been suffering and just before they died, they became aware and their eyes showed a clarity I hadn't seen in days.
When someone dies, they stop suffering. Who knows where they go? That's a huge part of the reason we have organized religion.
The way I see it, EVERY thing that has EVER lived is going to die. How bad can it be?
Death doesn't frighten me. A long, painful, dying process does. Once we're gone, we'll likely be missed but I doubt it's something that will cause us anymore pain.

By knowing what we call death doesn't exist. Life just change form. We leave our denser part which is physical body upon departure from physical world. And we enter spiritual world with still-exist personality but with more joy and freedom. And there is no eternal hell of fire. Is it make sense or sensible that relative to billion billion years of Universe and we are designed to live just around 70-80 years. There are many irrefutable evidences about reincarnation in this world that we are not having only one life time and finish.

i feel your pain b/c i was also this way at a time in my life.
my fear finally went away when i determined in my deepest place that i am in control of my thoughts and i realized how much God loves us and how much power He gave us when He resurrected Christ from the dead.
Christ defeated death and gave us the same power over death,it is under our control when we fix in our minds and accept that we can control our thoughts.
i`m telling you that Gods love is so powerful that it can wipe out any fear.
trust Love.
i have cried my very heart out over fear of certain things and in doing so comes a first step to healing.
plz try to find someone that would listen to your heart and that has a tender heart about your pain, and let it go on them.
pour it out.............

walk into a church and seek that someone.
i did it and i do not fear anymore.

Jesus came and conquered!

"Do not fear little children for you wil have trouble in the world, but i overcame the world, even death, said Jesus."

dont be afraid to reach out i know you can do it.
God Loves you and will give you rest it is a promise and God keeps His promises-all of them.
God promised Christ,and................

peace He gave us not like the world gives us but absolute peace.

you mentioned it here and that is a couragious step.
take another one! and may God bless your steps.

you touched my heart this new day and helped me, so thats the point.

Peace and Love

I believe in god and trust him with my whole heart. I do hope I go to heaven when I die. I am still terrified of dying. I am truly terrified. But you know, no one wakes up and says im going to die today. It is not planned, we do not know when. So it is best to be ready so you know where you are going.
LIfe is not promised. We all were born to die.
We all will die, and you have to come to terms with that at some point. It is hard, I know. I am terrifyed.
Maybe God is weighing on your heart to get closer to him.
This life is not supposed to make sense, we did not create it.
There is a point, from the bible. The devil was an angel who wanted to be above god. God cast him and so many of his angels down to earth. There is a war going on between them.
And who is in the middle? me and you. None are with out sin and no one is greater than god. We all sin, we all have evil and good and we all will die.
im sorry, but that was on me to tell u all of that.
Good luck and dont be so scared. You will be happier and more at peace if you know where you are going.

Many people fear death. If your fear is disabling then it is already interfering with your normal functioning and should not be ignored.

Different cultures have different ways of dealing with death so that people can accept it as part of life; the last part but nevertheless a part of life, just as birth is the beginning.

It would be wise to speak to your clergyman/clergywoman and/or a qualified therapist.

Best of luck to you.

After my first near death experience I started losing my fear of death. After my seventh near death experience my fears were gone completely. Everyone dies and worrying about it just makes it worse. I don't worry about death, or anything else, and I don't believe in God either. Just because I don't believe in God does not mean there is no afterlife, if there is there is, if there isn't who really cares, once your dead you won't care either. I have been shot once, drown twice, and electricuted several times, and killed in a car wreck, and I have to say that drowning was the worse of them all, and it wasn't that painful, being in shock helps though.

Everyone does, just not so close to the surface. Think of your death as part of your life; the last part. Let knowing of death relieve pressure, not build it up. When you stop fearing the inevitable, you will stop fearing things you can do something about and become less scared and more effective.
