Most of Norm McDonalds are great for a quick laugh. Not slapslick comedy either.
My recent favorites have to be Grandma's Boy, and Wedding Crashers.

Does anyone besides me watch Chinese movies? I think "Girl With The Long Hair (Cheung Mou Neui)" {1975} is quite hilarious. It is available only in Region 3 DVD format, so I have an all-region DVD player. Wei Hung and his blind wife Terry Liu vacation in Macao. He meets incredibly seductive Dan-Na and has an affair with her. Humor results from his crude attempts to evade his wife and Dan-Na's gangster husband. He also disrupts the honeymoon of the couple below him in the hotel when he climbs from one floor to another. There are other Chinese comedies I own. "City Hunter" (1992) is my favorite kung fu comedy.

The Jerk is a classic! Trading Spaces is also a brilliant comedy. Rent both if you have not seen them.
