It should be obvious that no one has ever been correct in predicting Doomsday. Furthermore, no one ever will be, because such things cannot be predicted. Most are based upon nonsense anyhow. Science can tell us when Earth will be swallowed by the Sun as it expands into a red giant. I just finished a book by Isaac Asimov that says it will happen 7,000,000,000 years from now. That is a LONG 5 minutes, isn't it?

No I am not disturbed by it because I was born in the year that the clock was it's closest to midnight and that was a while ago. I grew up being terrorized by the specter of nuclear war and I refuse to live like that...

It's been as close as 3 minutes to midnight before. Never further away than 10. 5 minutes is close, but it moves very slowly and not always forward. I will worry when it gets to 2 minutes.

And it's been that way for awhile now. It goes back and forth all the time. I intend to live my life, not fear some ridiculous clock.

Scientists always pride themselves and brag about the things they got right, but you never hear about the things they got wrong.
