I'll laugh
If the europeans cannot defend themselves by now, why should America worry about them?
The gulf war and the iraq war, both showed we can deploy a unit from the states to the middle east faster than we deploy a unit in europe to the middle east.
So why do we stiull have units stationed in europe?
It's time to bring them home, and let Europe either sink or swim on their own.
Plus, why give some european city the economic benefit of having a US military base.
lets give an American city that economic shot in the arm.

As Europe and the USA are in NATO, the USA would have to attack Russia. Plus if it attacks Europe it will attack America anyway.

If they attack france we should promise to assist them in any way we could, not that they would need much help. The only problem would be in trying to convince them to keep france.
