Why is it that a gallon of gasoline at one Speedway is 2.24 per gallon and 8 miles up the road at another Speedway, the same gallon of gasoline is 2.13 per gallon. I never could understand this. Both stations are owned by the same company. Isn't this called price fixing or gouging??

It may depend on the county they are in. If one is on the other side of a county line then the different taxes might be adding a few extra cents.

That is competition. Some lower the price of gas to attract consumers to other products they sell, some are strategically located and don't need to lower their price ... etc.
I have heard a lot of complaints from Americans for the price of gas, but we pay $5.57 a gallon of premium gas in other countries!! Most oil companies are American!!!

why does anything cost what it does....go to supermarket and price bread...some is 99 cents some is 3.00...gas stations make most of their money on non gas things....cigs,beer,,soda...all marked up 50 to 100 %...on gas the gas gets people in to buy crap....maybe the one station is not doing well and need to up sale of soda.etc.so they lower gas price....
