lets re think your diagnoses is it the back 3 cyls that misfire the cam mite have broke i have seen this
if the cam stuck it would have broke the timing chain and it wont fire at all
there are way to many other posibilitys like is the truck throttle body injected is 1 of the 2 fuel injectors bad you can check this by looking at it while cranking or running the car

I do not quite understand how it could be even able to run never mind missing on three cylinders with a camshaft that will not spin over? If the cam is definitely frozen up it will never start up.You need to look into the cam problem and see what is really going on.Sometimes camshafts can lock up do to bearing failure or even break in half.This could cause some severe engine damage so find out first before you start dumping money into it .Sometimes your better off getting a good used engine or short block Assembly.

If your camshaft is locked up as you put it then the motor shouldnt even turn over, and wont start at all, however its possible that the timing chain has broken that would stop the cam from turning when you crank the engine. What is confusing me is how you know that its misfiring one three cylinders if your cam is siezed?

If you had a photo of the front of your engine with the timing cover removed, you would see the belts or chains that drive the camshafts off the lower engine crankshaft gear. My engine, for example, has two timing chains running from the lower crankshaft up to the left and right cylinder bank camshafts. Obviously, on my engine, if one camshaft couldn't rotate, the whole engine couldn't rotate because the timing chains can't slip, whereas a timing belt could jump teeth on the pulleys in my opinion. I am not an expert on your engine, expecially because I have no idea what your make, year, model, engine, transmission car you have and whether it has timing belts or chains!!!
When your ready for a new remanufactured engine installation, consider the manufacturer's remanufactured engines instead of an in-shop rebuild, especially if you have a lot of miles on your engine. Also compare new remanufactured engine costs with http://www.jasperengines.com who I recommend also.

Its not so much that the cylinders are misfiring, I have a 96 GMC with the 4.3L, and I had 4 fouled spark plugs before I changes the ignition system. Your real problem is the cam. If its locked you are probably looking at rebuilding, or replacing the motor. Something, bearings or seals, caused it to lock up and that needs to be dealt with before it will start.

How many times are you going to ask this question?
Pull the valve cover and LOOK AT IT!!!!
The lobes on the cam shaft may have been completely worn down from the friction of trying to open the valves.
IT HAPPENS!!!

if the cam shaft won't move then the valves won't open, so there would be no way for gas to get into the cylinders to run the engine, so no, that engine needs some major work. technically it will run with three cylinders not firing, it just won't run very well.

if you cam is locked up it wont run if you can crank it up your timing chain is busted and every valve is likely bent time for at least a new top end.
