With regard to the press conference where finally a reporter (German no less, trust them to cut right to the chase) asked them if they had anything to do with the abduction.

Man the look of surprise on their faces. hahaha ........ priceless!!!

Maybe they will finally take a bite of a reality sandwich and realise the gravity of their mistake (and to those supporters who say they do realise how grave their mistake is, WELL, clearly they don't since they see no need to apologize for it).

Time to stop the charade, come home, answer the tough questions that need to be answered and we'll go from there. The smokescreen is slowly fading away ........

LDN Chick - Why not? Most murders are committed by family members. Thats statistical fact.

Yes it was quite funny really. Problem is that they still believe that it is only "a small minority" of people who have criticised them... if their PR officers were actually doing their job correctly they would make the McCanns recognise that the dislike of them is universal - they really do not like them in Portugal, Spain or the USA either!!!!
Complete world of delusion they are in LOL

Yes and no. I think they got a shock that the question was actually asked. I think they were composed enough to show that they had been primed that at some point someone would have the bottle to ask this one. I am waiting for a reporter to demand to know why these children were left alone for any length of time while they went boozing. Come on you British Press ask the raw questions we all want answered. Well done that German Reporter!

Great question, and one we have been asking here and waiting patiently for someone in the media to ask same.
So far they have been treat with kid gloves in the UK media but you just know that all those people you see tying yellow ribbons are all muttering over the fence "Well, I wouldn't leave my kids like that. Them being Doctors an' all. They want the twins tekkin off 'em"
Bet you that's how it is because everyone I talk to in "real life" says that. So yes, there's sides Gerry, and most in the media daren't say anything to you because they care about your daughter. It's such a shame that you didn't do same.

Yes, I do think they got a rude shock. They have been isolated from the real world since this kicked off.

Having looked at Gerry on your link, I think he looked visibly shaken.

Fame is a double edged sword, as the McCanns will soon find out.

Hi Dave,
Yes, I imagine they were shocked. They have failed to understand the dangers of publicity and over exposure and by doing so have set themselves up for criticism and, in the case of Gerry's blog, ridicule. Sad really, I suppose, because it has done nothing to help Madeleine.

Doubt it was a shock as you can bet your life the family here in Britain would clue them in also the people in team McCann would no doubt tell them there were critics. Maybe that another reason they dont want to come home

sorry yet somebody who's thick sufficient to be oblivious of the mundane nature of youngster abduction and infant murders could in simple terms no longer have young babies. it incredibly is worry-loose information to all mom and father and god dont all of us comprehend it as we attempt to guard our babies daily from those monsters. i will see, and that i dont propose they deserved this simply by fact no one merits to lose a infant, yet i will heavily see how they have been given into this occasion interior the 1st place. who could be so stupid as to leave their 3 babies on my own in a hotel in a remote places u . s . a . fairly thinking how maddys siblings have been even youthful and this could be an exceedingly risky age to leave babies unattended? im sorry yet they haven't any thought of what good parenting is - and that they are bloody fortunate that the kidnappers didnt take the different 2.

they started of in the beginning having an 'intimate dinner' without the children, that was over a month ago, now they were having a meal with 'a large group of people'! is it just me or does something not smell right? Whenever i've taken my daughter abroad she's been right next to me ALL the time, yes it's been a pain in the **** but not as much of a pain as her going missing!
Mind you, by the time the've finished, they'll have almost completed a world tour paid for by other peoples goodwill.

I still don't think it was a mistake at all. I think it was a crime being committed. When you break the laws it is a crime not a mistake and the laws in Portugal are children are not to be left alone under the age of 8. Choosing to steal, drive drunk, assault someone, child porn, Pedophelia, murder, speeding, child endangerment,,,,shall I go on? These are all crimes that should be handled and people whether they are the pope, paris hilton, or the single mom living next door that makes minimum wage should all be held accountable equally according to their crime.

Dave, I dont think they would have a rude awakening at all. I am sure their reaction at being asked "such an outragious" question was all stage managed. I am 150% confident that their PR people would have told them what the british / rest of the worlds public are thinking about them, especially the sceptical people. And that they should act as if they are shocked.

I like you, do still smell a rat. It will come out in the wash I am sure of it.

Just keep praying that Kate manages to keep going out for jogs, and that they spend more time onthe beach and that they manage to get a bite to eat.......
