this mother board says can run 2 graphics card in SLI, it also has a expansion pci-e x16 slot. can i run a third graphics card? if not what can I put in that slot? here is the mother board http://www.nvidia.com/object/designed_by_nvidia_680i_sli.html

Well if you had the two running in SLI, you could throw in a third, but it would not be able to work with the other two, so it would be rather pointless. From what I have read, this slot is meant for future Physics Cards that will run on PCI Express x16.

Well, yes you could run a third graphics card in that PCI slot, but finding one that will no conflict with the existing hardware may be a challenge. I have see some older 3DFX PCI cards that would probably do the trick. Good Luck

something like a 7750 or under (7570, 6670, etc) makes use of all of its potential from the slot. additionally keep in mind that there are molex -> 6 pin PCIE converters that can facilitate taking part in cards that require greater advantageous potential. i could incredibly improve that PSU earlier getting something greater fiesty however.
