I'm looking for songs that have a countdown or relate to countdowns - the only one I can think of is 'The final countdown'. Can anyone think of anymore?

For some reason when I read this question the first thing that popped into my head was that song (one hit wonder) by Peter Schilling from the 80's - "Major Tom (Coming Home)" He repeats the countdown of "4, 3, 2, 1" throughout the song.

The song was supposed to be a sort of continuation of David Bowie's "Space Oddity" - which, now that I think of it also has a countdown in it.

Do you remember either of these or am I really dating myself!? In any case, hope this helps! :)

"Countdown to Extinction" - Megadeth.

"And Some You Lose" - One Minute Silence, this one starts with a digitised voice saying "This place will self-destruct in 5 seconds..." then it counts down til the band kicks in!

International Rescue = Fuzzbox. One of the singers shouts out "5.4.3.2.1 Thunderbirds are go!!!" I think it was in 1986

123 = Gloria estafan

No idea who its by but there is one that goes 5,4,3,2,1, it was like a seventies, early eighties song. Not any good but it has the countdown criteria you are loking for!
