When I get depressed I think its too long. When I'm happy I think its too short at times.
I'm 26 years old and have not even had a child yet. I really want one. To settle down with a nice women and have kids and a house. Blah........your question is making me depressed lol. Sorry. Deep thoughts.

Like you, I'm only 27, and have experienced so many things, including the passing away of my beloved boyfriend of 4 years. I'm single, and definitely not a mum yet, so there's still a long way to go. Life does feel long for me, which I'm thankful for, because I'm not ready to go yet. I have always felt that life is long as a whole, but if looking back to some of the past, I remember thinking at the end of high school, that went by so quickly! When you go through hard times I think the time seems long. When you go through lots of happy times the time seems to go by quickly. Same as when you go through busy times, the time just slips by like nothing.

Considering the average longevity of just short of 80 years, I would say life is toooooooooooo long...... even 100 years could be considered too short but only if one important condition is fulfilled...... that is that health, both physical and mental, must be fully OK through the entire period. The main reason why life would ever look too long is when either mentally or physically we are not happy enough and as you have rightly hinted, there must be a feeling of a lot still to do rather than feeling as though there is nothing of significance left to be done..... this incidentally is part of the mental health I am referring to.

No but if u ever feel depressed tham\n think of life as a party!!
anyways.... here is a question for u....
why live life if it is not worth living??
if you dont have fun in your life than that would mean that you are not living the life that you waqnt to.
all you need to do is live life the way that you want to and let no one stop you!! if it is your job that you h8 than find another one more thrilling and when you have found the perfect one than you quit your original after you learn that you have actually got the job that you want!!!!
what you also need is a partner. find a good guy that makes you feel like you are the only one in the world in the mornings noons and night!! i hope yah get better and take my advice!!

well....the only answer i can tell u is "perspective".....life aint judged on what u have or havent done, its how u feel about it....and what you want with it....
For instance, im only sixteen. Im in school, so my time is constantly occupied with it. But i have gone to so many places, and i have done quite alot of things....but that doesnt make me feel as if life is going fast...even though im happy....mostly....
But then again, when i wish i could do a few things, i wish i were little again....cuz when ur small u can get away with anything! Thats when i think life's going too fast...
I guess the thing im trying to say is that, life is wat u make of it.....whether its short or long........its all about perspective....
Live every moment as though u didnt have another....cuz u never know...there might not be a tomorrow!!!!

When you're young,
you look at all the years before you
and they appear to be many.
When you become old,
you look at all the years behind
and they appear too few.
Thus it is that the young and old
see life in different spans
and their eagerness to press on
are at odds to one another.
One sees a beginning soon to begin,
while the other sees only the end.
One pursues the horizon
as the other courts the grave.

Life is neither. There are so many opportunities for us to achieve or goals, overcome fears, and live the life that we always dreamed. Its our own fears that limit us in our lives so that when we age we use the phrase "I wish I would have...". I've said this phrase more than I wish I had and I'm only 25....I'm just starting to do better at living the life I want to live : )

I feel that life is in between, because at certain times in your life everything can happen so fast, and you can experience many things, but sometimes its very slow, usually when were going through a tough time. I think this because you have to do many things with your life just for your own sanity; to feel accomplished. I hope this helps! x3

Well i guess its how you look at it, if you have no real happiness in your life then your life will be long and lonely, but if you have alot of loved ones near you then your life will be full and complete and every moment you spend with them the quicker time passes and the "shorter" life gets...
Keep the ones you love close and love the ones close to you (it doesn't mean the same thing!!!)

well, i'm 31, and i've managed to nearly circumnavigate the globe - so i've done a lot that i never would have imagined doing, including being a father. but i feel it's too short - because of all the time spent doing things that we don't want to do. over the past year, i've taken on work and going to school full-time, and it feels like there is never enough time to do anything besides those two things. i wish i never had to sleep so i could just keep going. it seems like you need something more to do with your time. whereas i need a vacation.
