Yes, I think I do.
Certainly I often give quite LONG ANSWERS (so stick with me) which is definitely (the chatty) part of my true self. I hope my answers express the helpful, sensible, reasonable, interesting, intelligent, thoughtful, kind (etc etc) part of my true self more often than the (small) self-opinionated bit of me that knows all about everything from cats to condoms.
Occasionally, there is a tiny, nasty, bad-tempered bit of my true self that peeks round the curtain! This happened just the other day and I gave a quite uncharacteristic answer. Someone asked about their pay date in a new job and I answered as follows:
"How the heck do you expect us to know? Are you on such bad terms with your new employer already that you are scared to ask them? For crying out loud they are the only ones who can say for sure when your contract begins as that is the date from which you will be paid. Ask THEM!"
Very not nice part of my true self, eh? In my defence, the employer was the NHS (UK health service) and these three initials are like a red rag to a bull for me...and also who would want such a lily-livered eedjit as the questioner looking after you if you had to go into hospital...
Ooops, there I go, showing my true-self again. Anyway my true self laughed when Yahoo sent me a violation notice! So, in short, yes I do.
Congratulation if you got this far - your true self has a lot of perseverance. Pip, pip.

That's part of the fun of Answers, isn't it? You're anonymous, so you don't have to worry about what others think about your answer. Obviously many answerers say things on here that they wouldn't say to peoples' faces, because they don't have to fear retaliation. I try to resist that myself, because peoples' feelings can still get hurt and I don't believe in hurting others, but I think it's part of why Answers is so popular.

For the most part, I can be a little more sarcastic, but around here..you have to be gentle sometimes.
