It says 80 minutes, 700 MB. I have compressed MP3 files that add up to 694 MB and 759 minutes? So which is my real limit -- the MB space or the time?

Expect less that 700 Mb as you have to allow for FAT files...

On any CD it's the MB space. The 80 min. is just an estamate of time for non compressed files. Your limit is 700 MB.

The time limit refers only to Audio CDs, because Tracks on a CD are not compressed, so 80 minutes will always add up to 700MB. Therefore, you can have an MP3 CD with as much playing time as you want, as long as the filesize comes to less than 700MB. However, unlike Audio CDs, MP3 CDs will not work on your CD Player, Car Radio or Hi-Fi, unless stated otherwise. There are loads of CD Players etc. around nowadays that are MP3 compatible, but anything older than 3 or 4 years probably won't be.

700 MB is what you go by. 80 min. is the estimated time limit of music will be recorded onto if you were creating a cd to playback in a cd player. Since you are saving the music in their original MP3 format, then just completely ignore the 80 min. part.

Even though it says 80 minutes, take about 3-5 seconds away from it, same way for the MB size as well. That is the actual time and size of them. So for space it would be 695 MB and for your music time it would be 79:57

The MB space is the real limit, which is just an estimate. 80 Min of audio is uncompressed.
