I use answers in spurts, I'm sure some people spend more time. Anything can become addictive, it may just be more of a habit, something he just does every day when he checks his e-mail. We all know it is very satisfying when you get that e-mail saying that your answer was chosen as the best answer. It makes you feel like you've helped someone. As for his having lots and lots of contacts, he's your boyfriend not theirs.

Funny you should ask this today!
I recently explained to my gang that the reason I like to offer help on Answers is because someone out there is ASKING for my OPINION and they are willling to answer ,
respect what I say or LISTEN to my thoughts!
I think carefully about what I tell folks, and treat them
as if they are my own kindred spirits.
Sometimes I use resources from Google, if they have not thought to find the answer there first, but I will admit,
the best reason I stay in touch (an yes, in spurts of time--
I have more free time sometimes than others)--the main reason is: someone out there WANTS to know what I think--and my own family is not interested in a word I have to say!
I have a fella, and he has 3 kids, they are all making one huge mistake after another, and the only thing they see us for is when they are in a financial JAM!!!
They have ignored any input from me, or him, and they go on their own merry way...so far that has cost the lot of them,
a 40 thousand dollar loss/waste and dropping out of college,
and 3, THREE illigetimate babies!!!!
Crikey! This is 2007!!!!
When are kids gonna learn that they DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING?????
We older ones HAVE been around the Christmas tree a few times, after all!!!!
WEll, don't be too judgemental on your fella, he may be
one of my kindred spirits, and if hooking up with someone
else is your biggest concern, then maybe you might suggest
that you and he do some things together that HE likes to do,
and you may go along just to be with him,
doing HIS thing, because if we pressure the guys to do
what WE want all the time....well, can't stop the human spirit--
like nature--water seeks it's own level.
Try to be a little more outwardly focused on his needs than on your concern and insecurity, there may be no need for it!
Good Luck!
