It comes multiple times per day and I don't know how to make it stop. (I obviously don't want the update.)

There must be an option for automatic update in the AIM preferences. Go into their and make sure it is 'unticked'. That will stop it telling you theres an update.

"(I obviously don't want the update.)". What are you thinking?

It could be a security update and you should get it. Then, the nag screen will go away.
