I have a western digital 500 gig hard drive and my computer wont recegonise it anymore? help?

I have tried both usb and firewire but nothing works!

If it worked before but doesn't now, it may have died. Test it on another PC.

Then, test your PC by plugging in any other USB device, it should be recognised.
