The back of the rear seat is approximately where the rear wheel is. So if the back seat is level with the edge of the parking bay, you just need to turn the wheel and you will be lined up.

I find it best not to reverse into a supermarket parking bay as it makes loading stuff difficult. Generally speaking reverse parking is something that improves with practice. Sometimes I get it right, sometimes wrong, and I have been driving for over 40 years.

Make sure you start reversing from further forward than the car you are trying to park behind - this gives you more room to manoeuvre, and a better chance to get the angle right.

Use both door mirrors to help you - angle the passenger one down slightly, so you can see the kerb close to the rear wheel.

Using the driver's side mirror, try to get enough angle so you can see the kerb-side headlamp of the car behind - that should give you enough space behind to straighten up when you get close to the kerb - or better still the kerb-side front corner of the car behind. Then use the passenger's side mirror to judge distance from the kerb when reversing in straight (but keep an eye on the driver's side mirror to check distance from the car behind). When the kerb-side rear wheel is about a foot (30cm) from the kerb, start to straighten the car.

Just lots of practice. I cracked this the lesson before my test and worked out a sticker in the back windscreen could help me line up - could you try something similar - perhaps add a little sticker/marker? Good luck!
