The hat will keep the sun off you forehead. Protecting your nose may not be a bad idea if you are prone to getting burned there.

Protect exposed skin - chest, back, arms, neck... Me personally, I never used any on my hands (front or back) because I didn't want the sweat to wash it into my hands where I might lose grip on the ball.

You can wear a cap instead of applying sunblock on your forehead.

If you play around noon, then you should wear sunblock on your exposed skins. There's different grades of sunblock. If you worry about it dripping after you sweat, wear a high SPF one, they tend to be more oil-based, so won't drip easily.

It really depends on your skin - some people do, some don't. If you normally need to put it on when you're going to be outside for several hours, then yes.
